Natural resource preservation initiatives that serve environments and communities

Our natural resource preservation initiatives are crafted to foster the protection of essential natural resources, while helping the communities that rely on them. At the core of our ethos lies a commitment alongside local communities, to help safeguard and regenerate their natural surroundings. In contrast to approaches that prioritise the resource itself, our projects often revolve around the community as the focal point of transformative change. Initiatives implemented also address the socio-economic challenges faced by the communities from which Givaudan sources. Varied in scope and method, natural resource preservation encompasses our efforts to reduce the environmental impacts of raw material production, conduct pioneering environmental research, conserve biodiversity, and advance agricultural and production practices.

Our impacts include enabling vetiver producers to prevent soil erosion in Haiti, providing environmental education in schools in Madagascar and Comoros, driving research into combatting fruit and plant diseases in Brazil and France, and undertaking forest conservation in Venezuela.
