Spain: Regeneration of the Ecosystem of the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Natural Park
The Sierra Norte Natural Park in Seville is a region of rich biodiversity facing environmental challenges such as deforestation and climate change impacts. The regeneration of oak species in the area is vital for ecosystem health and wildlife habitats.
The project focuses on regenerating a targeted area within the park, identified and selected in close collaboration with the competent authorities responsible for its management. This will be accomplished through a combination of planting new seedlings, thinning existing trees, and protecting natural regeneration. Planted trees will be safeguarded over time to ensure the establishment of a robust and sustainable forest ecosystem in the identified area.
