Mexico: Inclusion for the Visually Impaired

Empowering Senses: Inclusion for the Visually Impaired

In Mexico, we are supporting an initiative to empower visually impaired individuals by training them as sensory panelists. This program aimed to provide educational and professional opportunities while leveraging their heightened senses of smell and taste.

The project involved selecting candidates and training volunteers on effective engagement. Over five months, participants received 180 hours of training from Givaudan’s Fragrance & Beauty and Taste & Wellbeing divisions.

Upon completion, successful candidates could join Givaudan's sensory panelist pipeline, while others would receive job placement support. This initiative not only aimed to empower individuals economically but also to raise awareness about the capabilities of people with disabilities, fostering a more inclusive society.
