Argentina: Bringing food and community together

Support a disadvantaged neighbourhood in getting access to healthier food by providing a hygienic and suitable space

In the outskirts of Buenos Aires, a grassroots kitchen run by local families to feed the neighbourhood’s children has become an important community hub, where around 350 families regularly come together to cook and eat. Together with community members, Givaudan volunteers helped restore and complete this important space’s infrastructure, equipping the kitchen with vital utilities like electricity and plumbing, and supplying extra funding for more meals each month.

Today, the kitchen is a safe, inclusive space that serves nutritious food to large numbers of local people and children. It also hosts weekend gatherings, where families meet to cook, chat and share meals, bringing the community together.
