USA: Promoting healthy eating habits in schools

Workshops on fresh and food and botanicals to promote healthier lifestyles.

In the US, malnutrition notably in the form of obesity notably affects children and teenage population of the country. To promote healthy eating habits and raise awareness of their importance, we're collaborating with an organization who focus on teaching children in public schools in New York and New Jersey enjoyable ways to maintain a nutritious diet.

Givaudan volunteer together with students making herb bundles

With the support of committed Givaudan volunteers who leverage their expertise in botanicals, flavors and fragrances, we help children foster the selection of fresh food options.

Through interactive "Herbs Labs" workshops, students learn about various herbs and natural flavors that enhance recipes. They get the opportunity to create their own herb bundles to take home. They also learn about flavor varieties and get introduced to new tastes.

Working with the students was an incredibly touching and rewarding experience. Their curiosity and wonder about the world of fragrance was palpable. I hope this experience has broadened their outlook on what’s possible and ignited a passion in them to pursue future careers in science and creation.
