Morocco: Supporting the refurbishment of a middle school

Revitalizing educational spaces for better learning environment

In the centre of Morroco, a public middle school building had deteriorated over the years, presenting safety risks and causing overcrowded classrooms in the rest of the school buildings, thus hindering the provision of an optimal learning environment.

Teaming up with an organisation specialised in educational initiatives, we've renovated the non-operational school building, which adds 10 new classrooms and thus provides a more balanced distribution of students per class for the nearly 1,000 students who attend the school. The project includes roof and other structural repairs, improved classroom accoustics, restroom upgrades, and provision of essential classroom furniture - ensuring a safe and favourable learning space.

At the school's inauguration, the teachers expressed excitement to have a refreshed space for them and their students, saying it boosts their motivation.
