Ivory Coast: Enhancing education condition in thaumatococcus-producing communities

Rehabilitation of a school and construction of a canteen.

Thaumatococcus daniellii, also known as Arils, is a prized fruit renowned for its extraordinary sweetness, enhancing the flavor of various foods and beverages.
Children in Thaumatococcus-producing communities often face inadequate school conditions, hindering their educational opportunities. Recognizing this challenge, we have initially focused on providing educational materials in surrounding schools.

The project focuses on better schooling conditions in one school including classrooms rehabilitation and building better sanitation facilities to ensure that students have access to clean, safe learning environments. The aim is to reduce health risks related to inadequate sanitation, such as waterborne diseases, and to promote general good hygiene practices among students.

Furthermore, capacity-building programs will empower students, teachers, and villagers to effectively maintain these educational facilities, ensuring a sustainable impact for years to come.
