Côte d'Ivoire: Enhancing education condition in katemfe-producing communities
Rehabilitation of a school and construction of a canteen.
Thaumatococcus daniellii / katemfe, also known as Arils, is a prized fruit renowned for its extraordinary sweetness, enhancing the flavor of various foods and beverages.
Children in katemfe-producing communities often face inadequate school conditions, hindering their educational opportunities. Recognizing this challenge, we have initially focused on providing educational materials in surrounding schools.

The project focuses on better schooling conditions in one school including classrooms rehabilitation and building better sanitation facilities to ensure that students have access to clean, safe learning environments. The aim is to reduce health risks related to inadequate sanitation, such as waterborne diseases, and to promote general good hygiene practices among students.
We also supported capacity-building initiatives for students, teachers, and community members to help them maintain the facilities effectively. Their active involvement plays a key role in embedding good practices and ensuring the project’s long term sustainability.
