Hungary: Food supplies, education material and health workshops for families in need

A collaboration with the Red Cross to support vulnerable families.

The Hungarian Red Cross has provided help to families living in the region of Makó in south-east Hungary for decades. This programme, supported by Makó’s local authority, aims to provide assistance and relief in terms of food, clothing and basic supplies to families in need at specific times of the year such as beginning of the school year or Christmas.

Hungary school supplies donation

A few years ago, we supported Givaudan Makó volunteers with a food donation initiative carried in partnership with the Hungarian Red Cross. The same team took part in various donations (school supplies, food donation and Christmas gifts) aimed at families living in challenging economic conditions. In addition, the volunteers also helped in the organisation of workshops to teach young ladies about ways to live a healthy lifestyle and first aid activities were also provided to students.
